The end of the pandemic appears to be coming closer. Dare we hope? A variety of companies are seeking approval for use of their immunization products in the USA. And this Friday morning as I edit this blog, my morning newspaper’s front page headline reads, “Pfizer vaccine gets key U.S. OK.” And the world’s first Covid-19 vaccination is being given today to a British woman. Millions eventually will follow world wide.

It’s not likely to come to us by surprise—a calming, sustainable feeling of joy, of happiness, in our topsy-turvy world. Most likely you and I need to discover our brand of joy for ourselves, in some out-of-the-way place. It could be hidden right under our noses.
What’s missing from this list of news headlines and headline fragments? Take one guess and my bet is you will have the answer. It’s pandemic or coronavirus or Covid-19. The idea here is that maybe it’s time to give our attention a break, focus briefly on other matters. How refreshing for once perhaps to hear or read about something other than the pandemic.
The coming of coronavirus, the respiratory illness, COVID-19, that it causes, and the resulting world-wide pandemic presented the men’s group with a problem. To help decrease the spread of the sometimes fatal COVID-19, gatherings small and large are avoided. Utilizing Zoom is a way to hold meetings, albeit virtually, to reduce the possible transmission of virus while sustaining a level of connection.
